Wallace Avery, bookworm extraordinaire, is not out at work in either sense, as a gay man or as a fox shifter. He likes his privacy, and he's quite content in records management, thank you: filing papers and spending his off hours quietly.

When the opportunity he never wanted is thrust into his lap, he has to decide what to do about it. Police work and a pay raise, and probably stress up to his eyeballs, or trying to stay in his old life and pretending he's not capable of so much more?

    I enjoy all of your books, but the series I like best are the Shifters and Partners. I also enjoyed the Steampunk series as well. I prefer longer stories and series - rather than novellas and stand alone. But that is just a personal preference... A followup to the first Shifter and Partner book would be very nice ... hint - hint. :-)

    this latest book in the Shifters & Partners series came as a bit of a surprise! The fox and his (eventual) mate kept surprising me with their chemistry & heat! In a (hopefully helpful) response to Rachel's query, the first book is My Partner The Wolf, the second (follow up/sequel) is My Partner and Me, then goes to Joey & the Fox, My Sahil, Partners in Deed, Some Reservations (my personal favourite in this series), Shelter, & Foxed (#8 and the latest)---I believe that's how the Shifters & Partners series goes.

    All of your series are so good, Hollis, as well as the standalones (I really enjoyed your Steampunk series too!). You're my #1 go to read, sweet Hollis :) Longer is good, but just having your sheer # of books is also great for me!
