story by Carol Davis

A short, sweet gay romance, about summers of love and loss...

Jeremy Cole is a success, by anyone's standards: he runs a popular online magazine, and two of his books have hit the best-seller lists. Though he's quiet and a little clumsy, his family and friends adore him. But throughout his life, he's known there was something missing - the person who would make him complete. Someone he met years ago, during a summer he spent at the lake with his grandparents. Someone who sent him postcards and dozens of little gifts, someone who led him on great adventures... and then disappeared from his life, only to return a decade later. Someone who comes and goes on a whim, chasing a goal Jeremy can't begin to understand.

After his grandmother's death, Jeremy is faced with selling his family's treasured summer home - and with deciding, once and for all, what to do about Charlie, the only man he's ever loved.

It's on Amazon (and can be borrowed through Kindle Unlimited).  It's sweet rather than sexy, and I found it a very satisfying and fun read.

~

Carol has been my proofreader on several stories recently.  I like working with her, and she's very nice. So...I was excited when she told me she was writing a gay romance short story for the first time, trying her hand at a story idea she'd had.  She let me read it, and I was blown away by how much I liked it.

It felt like a pretty big responsibility to me to be the one to read it first, but I'm happy to say I loved it.  I hope she'll write lots more in future.  I'm always looking for new authors to read.  :-D

To a great editor and a great writer, best wishes for 2015!!

Being mates makes everything perfect--doesn't it?

Sean is happy with his mate, Tom. As far as he's concerned, life is golden. Except for when it isn't. Their work is dangerous. While Sean's recovering from his most recent injury, he hears a little girl in his head, calling for help. And his wolf side is acting up: too sensitive, too vulnerable. He needs Tom more than ever, especially when it means facing his family and old wounds. Even if things are never truly right for his wolf side, at least he has his mate who will never leave him...right?

Takes place after "My Partner the Wolf"

Approx. 90,000 words. Some angst. Some wolf stuff. Lots of love. Happy ending. (I promise!)

Sexiness level: Medium-ish
